The Sally Lightfoot Crab has long been used as a "tank janitor" to help clean up the sand bed and rocks in saltwater aquariums. As an omnivore, the Sally Lightfoot is the ultimate scavenger, consuming detritus, uneaten food, and algae. When this crab gets larger (4") it can be more aggressive and can attack small fish and other invertebrates.
